Klara Lange
Klara Lange developed an interest in music and acting at an early age and, after high school she graduated from acting school in Hamburg. In 2021, after a few smaller roles on television and theater, she landed her first leading role in the successful mockumentary series “Die Discounter” as deputy store manager Pina. The series quickly developed into a cult classic, winning accolades including the Ensemble Award at the German Acting Awards, the 2024 German Television Award for “Best Comedy Series,” the 2022 Blue Panther Audience Award, and the prestigious Grimme Award in the same year. She can also be seen in the self-produced web series “Crème de la crème,” Jerks, Oh Hell, the Dortmund crime series “Made in China,” and the Kiel crime series “Borowski und das Kopf der Medusa.” Her current project is the ZDF comedy “plötzlich Schwestern.”
Jochen Alexander Freydank
Jochen Alexander Freydank was born in Berlin Friedrichshain. He began as a cutter and assistant director, writing scripts for series for ARD, RTL, Pro7 and ORF. After a year in London, he also wrote scripts for short films, which he directed and produced himself. Freydank ultimately made the short film "Spielzeugland", which won more than 40 international awards and an Oscar in 2009. Freydank has directed at venues including the Berliner Volksbühne, where he directed the comedy "Johnny Chicago" with Kurt Krömer. He directed two crime scenes, "Heimatfront" and "Almighty", and in 2012 the tragicomedy And "You're Gone", which won the Bavarian Television Award for Best Director. In 2014, he made a feature film based on his own book, Kafka's "Der Bau", which he also produced. In 2014, he made the ZDF comedy "Große Fische – kleine Fische", also based on his own screenplay. Further television films followed, which were very successful on ARD, including two "Usedom" crime thrillers and a film in the NDR series "Nord bei Nordwest". In 2016, Freydank directed a police call and a film from the "Zorn" series. The following year, he filmed "The Joshua Profile", based on a novel by Sebastian Fitzek. In 2018, he directed the thriller "Dein Leben gehört mir" (Your Life Belongs to Me) for Sat. 1, and in 2020, the miniseries "Du sollst nicht lügen" (You Shall Not Lie). This was followed by another novel adaptation, "Zero", a near-future thriller. In 2021, he directed the miniseries "Herzogpark", a social comedy, and in 2022, the international co-production (D/Ö/CH/K) "Riesending – jeden Stunde zählt" (Writer, Director), which was nominated for a Grimme Prize and a Romy and is currently streaming on Netflix. A "Tatort" film set in Mainz followed in 2024.
Laura Fischer
Laura Fischerbegan working with film and theater at a young age. Her first film, "Familie Koslowski," won her the "Cometen" award—now the German Young Film Award—at the up-and-coming International Film Festival Hannover in 2001. Her media satire "50 ZKB" was one of the first series to appear on YouTube. Her film "Verlangen" (30 min.) premiered at the Hof International Film Festival. In 2014, she founded Volle Pulle Filmproduktion (VPtwo), with which she continues to produce various films. As a director, Laura Fischer has directed comedy episodes of the series "Aurel Original" and "Bohemian Browser Ballett" (#Funk for ARD and ZDF), as well as the Grimme Award-nominated youth series "Moooment." She made her feature film debut with the black comedy "Fünf Finger sind ne Faust" (Five Fingers Are a Fist). Most recently, she directed well-known children's television series such as Löwenzahn (Dandelion). The ZDF feature film "Für immer Freibad" (Forever Open-Air Pool) won the "Fair Film Award" and the "Eisvogel Prize for Sustainability" at the 74th Berlinale. Laura Fischer is a volunteer with the Fridays for Future movement and, among other organizations, founded the "Changemakers.film" initiative with Pheline Roggan. With the "Green Shooting Working Group," they developed a law with uniform standards for sustainable film and television productions, compliance with which is now awarded the "green motion" seal.
Jonathan Berlin
Jonathan Berlin, born in 1994 in Ulm, he studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich and has appeared in numerous films and series, including "Kruso," "Preis der Freiheit," "Die Freibadclique," feature films such as "Der Passfälscher," and the series "Unwanted." For his roles, he has received, among others, the German Acting Award and the New Faces Award for Best Young Actor. He was also nominated for the German Television Award for Best Actor. His first fictional directorial works, AUGUST and THE LIGHT THAT PAINTED YOU, have been screened at numerous international festivals, including BAFTA and Academy Award qualifiers such as the Norwich Film Festival, the Manchester Film Festival, and Friss Hús Budapest. In Germany, they have been shown at the Achtung Berlin Festival and the Dresden Film Festival, among others. As an actor, Jonathan can next be seen in the ARD series "Naked," the political film "Die Niece des Polizei" (The Policeman's Niece), and the coming-of-age comedy "Schlaflos in Bochum." He is also working on his feature film debut, "Mio." In addition to his work in the film industry, he is actively involved in the climate movement and was part of the #actout initiative in 2021.
Seneit Debese
Seneit Debeseis the founder and managing director of Greta & Starks Apps GmbH. After studying business administration and gaining over 20 years of experience in film distribution, Seneit Debese combined her expertise with her passion for cinema to become even more involved. She developed a solution that makes cinemas accessible to 1.6 billion people with sensory impairments, the elderly, and non-native audiences worldwide. In 2014, she launched the GRETA app, enabling barrier-free or low-barrier access to a shared cinema experience for the first time. Seneit Debese has received numerous awards for her accessible cinema apps "Greta" and "Starks."
